Love Bug Baby Shower Centerpieces

Planning a baby shower? Here is a fun and unique idea for centerpieces. Make Love Bugs for each table.
Not only are they adorable, but they are inexpensive and fun to make.

Supplies:
green felt
sharpies
styrofoam balls in various sizes
pipe cleaners
floral wire
craft paint
scissors
large needle

Start by painting your styrofoam balls various colors and allow them to dry overnight. Once paint is dry, cut a length of floral wire and twist one end into a small knot. (I used a bead to secure each end, but if you don't have any beads, simply twist the end and tuck it back into the styrofoam to hold it.)
Thread a large needle with the floral wire and wrap it tightly around the needle to keep it in place. Then string your balls onto the wire in size order, largest to smallest. Once you have them strung, twist and tuck the end to secure it, or use a bead. Then using sharpies, draw a face on your largest ball. I used google eyes, because I had them, but it isn't necessary. Cut a pipe cleaner in half, bend into an antenna shape and press each half into the top of the largest ball. Your bugs are now complete. Because they aren't glued, the floral wire allows you to flex the bug and make it appear as though it's crawling on the leaf. Now for the leaves. Draw a basic leaf design on your green felt using a sharpie, however large or small you prefer and cut it out. Use this as your pattern for the rest of your leaves. Once the leaves are all cut out, take a black sharpie and draw on the veins. I also took a pink paint pen and wrote Love Bug <3 on each leaf, but that is up to you. Lay the leaf in the middle of the table, arrange your bug on top & VIOLA! You have an adorable centerpiece. XOXO
